I studied City and Guilds Level 2 (Professional Floristry) and Level 3 (Advanced Floristry) at Rodbaston College from 2001 to 2004. The courses included a range of subjects from flowers as gifts, wedding flowers, funeral and sympathy flowers, arrangements of all shapes and sizes, international and period floristry, structural display designs and planted designs. I passed every assignment with distinction, and won the Amanda Chatfield Challenge Award for the top student on the Advanced National Certificate in Floristry in June 2004. I worked in a local florist shop for several years while I was studying and then started my own business Be Inspired... in the early part of 2005. During 2006, I opened my first shop in the village of Shenstone, which is just outside Lichfield on the road to Sutton Coldfield. We now have a small but enthusiastic team working for Be Inspired...
